This is exactly it. If you read Logan's review of the Forge on Bikepacking.com he says pretty much the same. You really need to ride them steep, fast, and be comfortable weighting the front end.

I'm 57, I've never measured a long distance in kilometres. My kids (19 and 23) talk about driving and distance between places in miles, it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
